lost the toss lost the plot and lost the game.
All started well when the opposition decided to bat first and lost a wicket in the second over to Ali caught behind by Jake. Only 2 of the opposition got into double figures which unfortunately was 63 and 64 bing the majority of their 157 (the two players who got runs used to be barmen at the arrow and had served me more pints then they scored runs but that is no consolation. Looking at a score of 158 off 40 overs on a quickening outfield should have been on but our batting let us down and we were dismissed for 108 having been 78 for 9 thanks to a lst wicket stand between Dick Stead 14 and Kyle Barker 11 No. Our top scorer was Jake who hit 19. I had a mardy when I batted and decided to try and Smash danny Nichols out of the ground and missed it and was bowled which prompted a hat trick and left us high and dry.
We could have won the game so it was disappointing to lose. I also got mugged on the way home from the arrow - as I went to tell Danny that I would keep the hat trick ball for him. I know I threw my wicket away but there was no need to beat me around the head with a bat still no damadge done.
We bowled well and batted poorly so we need to maintain one and improve the other
