Losing the toss and electing to bat Gedling Colliery looked a decent young side. The ball was passed to Andy Laughton who bowled a good line and length along with the other opener, and the lubs leading wicket taker Phil Z. Gedling were soon in trouble with Andy (5 for 16) and Phil (2 for 22) ripping apart the top order in their spell of 4 overs each. Collo Snr then came on for Andy and bowled a steady 4 overs taking 1 for 24. Rob Turner also came on and got dispatched to all parts of the ground and took 0 for 31 in his 2 overs. The runs conceded have earned RT this weeks captain calamity. Kyle Barker then replaced Rob and took an impressive 2 for 12 off his 2 overs. Gedling reaching a defendable 107 for 8.
Going out to bat the in form Mike Rees (42) and Max Danby (31) made a great start working up to an opening partnership of 71. We then had the midle order collapse that brought the game back into Gedling's hands with only Neil Davey (6) and Andy Laughton with a quick 13 bringing the game close but it was too much for Fisko in the end finishing 6 runs short.
MOM this week was split between Andy Laughton and Max but have chosen Max for his patient 31 and some fine keeping which allowed the great start we had with the ball with some good stumpings and a catch.
