Match Report

Last game of the season and we wnated to end on a high. The opposition won the toss and elected to field which was fortunate as we only had 7 at the ground. so the two that were changed opened two others padded up 1 scorer and two yumpires meant everyone had a role. Rob and Glen put on 45 for first wicket off 11 overs. Then both got out so in went Fish and Osbon who put on 37 before Kev was caught for 9. The rest of the team had turned up by this time so Rob Bailey went out to bat with his fags and lighter in his pocket. then he came back aftwer fauikling to hit most balls particularly the one that bowled him. He was replaced by Richard Foulkes and he and Fish started giving catching practrice but there were no takers Fish scored 116 and Richard scored 17 then dom scored 9 not out at the end. We scored 215. Then tea the least said about that the better Pad needs to do much more practice in the kitchen. So we went to field and Jack Surtees and ian Goodman opened up and did great for the first 10 overs then I had to come on after Jack had done his 5. I did a spell of 6 which took us beyond 20 overs and Goody and finished his spell of 2 for 20. We waited for drinks and they didnt arrive so the opposition made some for us but forgot the water another minus for Pad. We returned to the game more dehydrated than before and completed our overs leaving opposition on 160 Jack finished with 1 for 29 off 10 which was great. Fishy bowled the last over hoping to get the 2 wickets required but failed.
