Match Report   The difference this week is we capitalised on a perfect start. Danby and Carr both hitting half centuries, taking the score to 108 for 1 off 8 overs. Both lads hit the ball hard and Danby owes Steve Milner a few quid after damaging his car with a HUGE six. These lads really showed us the benefit of getting bat on ball and valuing 1's and 2's just as much as hitting boundaries. Dan Collo chipped in with 18 and Robbo with 8. The Slug lived up to his name, being run out first ball.

With 152 to defend we were favourites, but Caunton are a good batting side. However after Dan Collo removed the danger man Tilbury for 31 the run rate dropped significantly. Hedge came on and bowled a really tidy 3 overs for 13 taking 2 wickets. Jack surtees also chipped in with a wicket and Hall got his wish bowling at the tail picking up 3 wickets in his last over after his Sulk which has earned him Captain Calamity. Ben Carr takes MOTM with his well constructed knock and excellent sweep fielding.

All we can do now is wait and see if we have won the league. We've given ourselves every chance. Even if it is not to be it has been a very successful season and a big positive for the club in what has been a disappointing season so far.
