Good game all round i thought today lads, better attitude towards chasing a target down.
Kimberley batted first and scored 218, which is average to good on our track, andy beecroft bowling the best spell with figures of 3-37 off 8, chris, dave and phil also bowling well.
We let 20 too many runs past in the field with unnecessary errors in judgement but can't complain too much with that.
Me and Dave opened the batting and got us off to a good start (well ... dave did) putting on 67 for the opening stand, i got out on 17 and Gav went in. After a couple of crunching blows Gav got a bouncer that stayed low, and pegged back his stumps, gone for 9.
Dan collington came to the crease next and survived longer this week than he did last.... 2 balls, trapped LBW and sent packing.
Chris spittlehouse and dave steadied the ship in the middle order but as the pressure mounted the runs died off. Help from rob turner, beeky, and drew in the latter stages brought us close to our total but we fell 30 odd short.
.... oooh and Dave got run-out unfortunately on 99 with the second to last ball (unlucky but great knock)
Man of the match: Dave for his batting
Capt Calamity: Dan (run of fortune at the minute)
Not a bad game in any sense though ... lets bring on next week.
