Match Report

Right ok, very cold blustery day on what can only be described as a recessed bowling green at kimberley.

Pitch looked green and erm fresh but looking at the team i thought having a bat was a good idea .... sooo we bowled, as usual.

Me and phil opened up with both of us bowling tightly to maintain a reasonably good economy off the first 10-15 overs. Pick of the bowlers today for me was Max with his dibbly dobblies, picked up 2 wickets and went for 27 off 8 overs, very good. Polkey bowled well in partnership with max to pick up 2 wickets of his own. Kimberleys number 3 was playing in a different league of cricket to all of our team and picked off all the bowlers without any problems really, he quite enjoyed robbie turners bowling. Dan jones bowled well at the death to bring the innings to a close at 213 for 5, not great but definitely not bad.

Onto the batting .... Max and Ben opened up and got the score to 30 odd for no loss before max fell for 13, gloved behind to the keeper. Ben carr soon followed having the woodwork re-arranged a few overs later for 14. Rob Bailey and Dave newby had a very breif partnership in the middle, newby lasting one whole delivery before watching his off and middle stump do some dancing. I came to the crease and quickly proceeded to run rob bailey out (must apologise) underestimating the effectiveness of kimberleys fielding training. Polkey and turner departed for less than 5 a piece, all of us were being undone by good disciplined bowling. Rich barker an i had a breif makings of an innings, rich making 10 before being caught. Phil Z (3), Kyle (4) and dan j (6), all fell within  a 5 over period to seal our innings at a measly 130 ao.

All i can say about this match is that thankfully kimberley are getting promoted this year so we won't be playing them again.

Man of the Match: Me ( dont care about the abuse ) 59* batting gave us a total.

Capt Calamity: Probably me again (Because i'll only get abuse for MoM so this should cancel it out)
