The adage, "catches win matches" has never been truer than last night, where we collectively shelled 10 catches, of varying difficulty. It's hard to think which was the worst example.
That said, we were keeping the run rate down until the last 3 overs or so, until they managed to up the tempo and post a very respectable 115. Yet, that is a gettable target, and we did manage to look like reaching it for 9 overs. However they stacked the boundaries, stopped a few 2's because of our poor running between the wickets and we eventually fell 15 runs short. Disappointing when you consider we should have had them 6-7 down after 7 overs.
Never mind though they've conceded the league game, so we stand a great chance of winning it IF we beat Farndon next week. Please practice your catching!?!!!!
