A thoroughly deserved victory.
We took to the field and restricted the home team to 132, when considering the short boundary this was a gallant effort.
Max & Jimmy proved to be a very useful combination, they dictated the pace of the game extremely well and took 4 of the first 5 batsmen in the process.
Fielding wise, Jack Surtees showed why the warm ups are so important with a direct hit that on another day may well have been given.
Attitude today was perect, the season is starting to take shape.
The chase down started a little shakey with Dan Collington leaving without troubling the scorers. However Max and Mr Jones put on 40 for the next wicket which put us in a good position. Contributions all the way down saw us to our target with just over 2 overs spare.
Back to back fixtures sees us next week at home to East Leake. This weeks performance no matter how good, will be tarnished if we do not pick up a win on home soil.
